A practical comparison
nutribullet 600W, Pro 900, Pro+ and Turbo: controls, cups and ice limits
These nutribullet personal blenders share a cup-and-blade format, but their wattage labels hide practical differences: the cup sizes in the box, the way blending starts and stops, whether the maker describes the model as current or discontinued, and which instructions govern ice.
Compare the actual operating setup
| Configuration | Included cup plan | Controls | Important status or limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original 600W NBR-0801 | 24-ounce tall cup and separate 18-ounce short handled cup | Manual press-and-twist start/stop | Manufacturer marks it discontinued; no independent speed or timed cycle |
| Pro 900 Matte Eucalyptus NB9-0901EUCTH | The exact page lists two 32-ounce cups, used separately | Manual push-and-twist start/stop | Manufacturer marks Pro 900 discontinued; generic FAQ box summary differs from the selected SKU list |
| McLaren Pro NB9-0901MC | Separate 32- and 24-ounce cups | Manual push-and-twist start/stop | U.S. product page currently out of stock; exact page does not mark it discontinued |
| Pro+ N12-1001MK | 24-ounce Tall Cup and separate 32-ounce Colossal Cup | Automatic 60-second Blend plus held Pulse | Same sealed-cup heat, liquid and fill-line limits still matter |
| Turbo Standard NB50400AW-02 | Use the exact package page for its selected cup | Automatic 45-second cycle | New blade/cup design; Pro cups and blades do not fit |
What changes with your routine?
If you need an automatic cycle, the 600W and both exact Pro 900 packages’ manual push-and-twist control is not a substitute for the Pro+ or Turbo timer. The McLaren SKU is not merely another name for the Eucalyptus two-32-ounce package: its exact page lists a 32-ounce and a 24-ounce cup, while the Eucalyptus SKU lists two 32-ounce cups. Both are separate batches. If you want a held Pulse button, the Pro+ documents one; do not infer it from the Pro name. If a 32-ounce cup is essential, check which cup plan comes with the exact SKU and whether a second cup is included. Nominal cup labels are not safe-fill volumes: follow each model’s MAX mark, because these guides do not convert every mark to ounces.
Ice instructions also need a task distinction. The shared NutriBullet guide family rejects standalone ice-crusher use and requires liquid, while the Pro 900 FAQ says the model can crush ice. Its quick-start guide and recipes support ice within a liquid smoothie, with a stated limit of 25% of smoothie ingredients. Treat that as cold-drink guidance, not evidence for dry or ice-only processing. For hot soups, look for a separate open-pitcher model whose exact manual allows the task rather than opening a sealed personal cup.
How to shortlist an older model
The Eucalyptus SKU is explicitly discontinued; the McLaren Pro page remained an exact U.S. listing but showed out of stock when checked. Neither observation establishes a reseller’s stock, condition or warranty eligibility. Match the SKU and cup list, ask the seller what is actually included, and confirm that replacement parts are the correct generation. Choose the current product only when its own exact page and manual match your needs; a successor name does not mean the cups, blade or control routine carry over.
For exact cup, control and care details, see each linked review rather than adding vessel volumes together or treating product-family names as compatibility proof.
