A practical comparison

Ninja CrushBOSS LB201, LB301, 3-in-1 LB401 or 4-in-1 LB401BLB1?

The Ninja CrushBOSS family shares a 72-ounce pitcher and SmartMenu dial, but the exact boxes change how much food prep they can do. This comparison covers four function levels and their exact finish variants: pitcher-only LB201BK, LB201BL, LB201WH and LB201GN; LB301BR, LB301BK, LB301WH or LB301GN with one 26-ounce BlendBOSS tumbler; Stone & Gold LB401WH, Midnight Blue LB401BL and Onyx LB401BK with processors but no dicer; and blue LB401BLB1 with the dicing kit. The Stone LB401WHB1 and Black & Copper LB451BK1 pages list the same 4-in-1 tools as LB401BLB1; their exact model codes, finish and package notes are in the full review.

Across these confirmed finish variants, color does not change the included operating plan: the four named LB201 packages remain pitcher-only, and all four named LB301 packages include the same single portable tumbler. A separate web-exclusive Pink LB201PKBRN listing exists, but its inspected manufacturer page did not provide an itemized box list, so the Onyx, Blue and Stone package inventory is not assumed for Pink.

How the questionnaire should change the answer

If you ask only for a nominal 72-ounce jar and new countertop product, all four package tiers can meet that narrow need. Requiring a 26-ounce direct-blending BlendBOSS tumbler removes the pitcher-only LB201 tier. Requiring an included food-processor bowl removes the 2-in-1 LB301BR too, leaving the three 3-in-1 LB401 finish configurations plus the separately assessed 4-in-1 dicing bundle. Requiring an included dicing kit then removes all three 3-in-1 packages: exact LB401WH, LB401BL and LB401BK pages list the dicer as a compatible add-on, not a box item. The blue LB401BL is not the same code as LB401BLB1, the separate four-in-one dicing bundle. The 4-in-1 LB401BLB1 page lists it; LB401WHB1 and LB451BK1 list the same tool setup under other exact model/finish codes. A BlendBOSS tumbler, separate personal cup with blade, and processor bowl are not substitutes for one another.

The 72-ounce pitcher label is nominal container capacity, not a safe maximum-liquid line. The 8-cup processor bowl is a separate food-prep vessel, not another blender pitcher or a larger drink batch. These are different setups on one base, not additive capacities. No exact CrushBOSS manual was obtained for this family, so hot-liquid limits, safe pitcher fill, dishwasher rules and manual speed counts remain unconfirmed rather than inferred from a preset name.

SmartMenu does not erase the package differences

Each exact page describes SmoothSense, PrepIQ and Custom Control. The manufacturer presents SmoothSense as an automatic blending routine, PrepIQ as a chopping/processing aid and Custom Control as variable-speed operation. The identical menu names do not make the cartons identical: LB201BK has no included tumbler or processor; LB301BR adds the tumbler; LB401WH, LB401BL and LB401BK share the processor package without included dicing; and the 4-in-1 configurations add the separate dicer. Compatibility is not the same as inclusion.

The pages list 1850 peak watts and one-year limited warranties. Peak watts are manufacturer claims, not comparative lab measurements. The useful tradeoff is package complexity: a processor bowl, feed chute, pusher, extra blades and dicer expand the chores and storage as well as the available prep jobs. The Black & Copper LB451BK1 page separately lists a 17.24-pound weight; the blue LB401BLB1 page lists 15.96 pounds, so check exact weight rather than transferring a neighbor’s specification.

Four quick fit decisions

  • Mostly pitcher batches: start with the LB201 pitcher-only tier (including Green LB201GN) if tumbler and processor needs are not essential.
  • Personal drink beside pitcher blends: LB301BR adds the 26-ounce tumbler, not a processor.
  • Processor without required dicing: LB401WH, LB401BL or LB401BK includes the same bowl and blade tools but not the dicing kit.
  • Food prep with included dicing: LB401BLB1 lists the separate dicer; other exact 4-in-1 packages LB401WHB1 and LB451BK1 have distinct finish/model codes.

The exact manufacturer pages showed back-in-stock notifications when checked; this is not a promise of current availability. Compare complete package codes and seller terms. Read the full assessments for LB201BK, LB301BR, LB401WH and LB401BLB1.
