Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need the short 20-second Portable routine rather than Flex or Flip?
The exact NBPB50100 plan has a 20-second cordless cycle; Flex and Flip have different 30-second routines.
Explore this need in the finder →Are you specifically seeking the McLaren Gray NBPB50100MGMC version?
The McLaren gray exterior is a separate exact SKU but shares the Portable family routine and cup size.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need to carry the cup without the motor base?
If that is essential, this Portable package does not provide the twist-off base; the exact cup remains with the motor.
Explore this need in the finder →The U.S. nutribullet Portable Blender is a small cordless cup blender, not a compact version of a countertop pitcher. The exact White SKU is NBPB50100W; the gray-and-orange McLaren edition is NBPB50100MGMC. The two exact manufacturer pages and the shared NBPB50100 guide describe the same 20-ounce cup, rechargeable 7.4V base and one-button routine. The McLaren collaboration changes the exterior and branding, not the operating plan. The page showed an order control for both finishes when checked; that is not a promise that either is in stock today.

A cup that blends with the motor still attached
The included 20-ounce vessel is both the blending cup and the drink vessel. The motor base is not the twist-off kind that you remove after blending. Once you make a drink, you can carry it with the base still underneath; if your bag or cupholder routine specifically requires a lighter cup without a motor, look at the nutribullet Flex or another detachable-base design instead. The exact page lists a handled flip-top lid, so carrying and sipping are part of the design, but “portable” does not mean the powered assembly comes apart.
The listed package includes a 7.4-volt rechargeable base, cup, lid and USB-C charging cable. nutribullet quotes 15 or more 20-second blends per full charge and up to 90 minutes to charge. These are maker claims, not a measured run count, and frozen or dense ingredients may change real battery use. The one-button 20-second run is a simpler routine than a program menu: press for the short cycle and use the manual’s stop/pulse guidance as needed. There is no numbered variable-speed dial, no processor bowl and no separate dry grinder. At 1.63 pounds and 3.3 by 3.74 by 10.16 inches, the published dimensions are compact, but check the actual cup-on-base height and USB-C charging access where you plan to store it.
What its 20-ounce label does not allow
The nominal cup capacity is not an instruction to fill 20 ounces of ingredients. The official guide points to the cup’s marked MAX line and does not give a numeric fill conversion in the material inspected. Use that line, leave room for movement, and add enough liquid for frozen pieces. The manual permits ice as part of a sufficiently liquid blend but not an ice-only run. It also prohibits hot or warm ingredients, carbonated drinks and effervescent ingredients such as bubbly powders. Ingredients must be room temperature or refrigerated, no warmer than 70°F/21°C. Consecutive blending may not exceed one minute total.
For cleanup, the cup and lid are top-rack dishwasher-safe. The base is wiped on the outside and must not be immersed. That is a much simpler carry setup than Flex, but it does not offer Flex’s separately removable blade block for machine washing. The manufacturer gives a one-year limited warranty. No claim is made here about measured blending texture, sound level, actual run time, or how long a battery will last.
How the finder choices change the fit
Choose the 20-second portable mode if a short, uncomplicated cordless cycle is what you want. Selecting the exact McLaren Gray variant should return NBPB50100MGMC; selecting White returns NBPB50100W. Either SKU has the same documented plan. A 20-ounce minimum refers to nominal cup size—not to a 20-ounce MAX fill. Requiring a cup that detaches from its motor base should exclude this model. Requiring an insulated steel cup should also exclude it; that is the nutribullet Flip’s defining vessel difference.
This is a practical match for one cold shake or smoothie away from an outlet, with no expectation of a family batch or variable-speed control. If carrying the cup without its base matters more than simplicity, the 22-ounce Gunmetal Flex offers a twist-off motor base and a separate dishwasher-safe blade block, although its exact page was out of stock when checked. The Papaya McLaren Flex shares those removable parts but has an unresolved 20-versus-22-ounce product-page conflict. If insulated steel is your priority, Flip keeps cold drinks in a double-wall vessel but has a 16-ounce MAX line, weighs 3.45 pounds, and its hybrid blade/motor lid needs careful hand cleaning. Those are different tradeoffs, not simple upgrades.

Choose around the way you blend.
Start with format and batch, then check manual controls, named programs, exact jar package, clearance and cleanup. In the Propel 510/750 family, a second jar is a separate setup—not extra capacity in one blend—and the Classic Bundle has a distinct hand-wash jar. In the nutribullet Ultra family, the standard NB50500IN has no processor, NB20550ID adds a separate two-cup processor, and only NB50550AKID includes the coffee/spice grinder. In nutribullet portable choices, the NBPB50100 keeps its base attached, Flex separates its base and blade, and Flip uses an insulated steel cup with a 16-ounce MAX line. Flex x McLaren’s exact page conflicts on 20 versus 22 ounces; that unknown should not meet a capacity requirement. The nutribullet Personal Blender NB50150-02 is the 700W refresh with a 21-ounce handled tumbler and a separate 24-ounce cup; use its 55-second plan and exact compatibility note rather than assuming old 600W parts fit. The current nutribullet Pro+ N12-1001MK pairs a separate 24-ounce and 32-ounce cup with a one-minute Blend cycle and manual Pulse; nominal cup labels do not replace the marked MAX line. The exact nutribullet Power Core XL Matte White NBF70100AW-02 lists a 72-ounce pitcher, 64-ounce maximum-liquid line and a maker-suggested minimum 16-ounce batch; its guide supports hot ingredients only in the vented pitcher and expressly says not to crush ice. The nutribullet Lite NBI50200 is a two-speed immersion set with a 30-ounce cup label but a 350 ml manual MAX mark; direct hot-pot blending does not specify a maximum pot or hot volume. The current McLaren Pro NB9-0901MC lists separate 32- and 24-ounce cups but showed out of stock; the discontinued Matte Eucalyptus SKU lists two separate 32-ounce cups. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender 50181FG/FJ, 50182FG/FJ and 50183F/FJ family has one 48-ounce BPA-free jar, while its directly linked guide names 50180 rather than those exact codes; check the supplied manual before planning a hot batch.
