Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you want the current CPB-7BK Soho package with its own single 24-ounce cup and travel lid?
The exact warm-black U.S. package lists one 24-ounce cup, removable blade block and carry-loop lid. It is not the discontinued Truffle CPB-7TR offer or a cordless model.
Explore this need in the finder →Is one detachable cup with a 24-ounce liquid MAX enough for your normal single-serving blend?
The exact 24-ounce cup separates from the base, but the CPB-7 manual's 24-ounce liquid MAX is a fill ceiling, not a promise of 24 ounces of finished recipe. A minimum above 24 ounces fails.
Explore this need in the finder →Do Blend/CANCEL plus manual Pulse suit you, if hot or fizzy drinks are not essential?
The CPB-7 manual describes a continuous run that ends at 60 seconds or when canceled, plus separate press-and-release Pulse. Ice is bounded to six cubes in its table; hot and carbonated contents are prohibited.
Explore this need in the finder →The Cuisinart Soho CPB-7BK is a small, corded single-serve blender for a cold drink that starts and finishes in the same 24-ounce cup. Its useful distinction is not a wattage badge or an automatic recipe menu: the maker documents one continuous Blend/CANCEL control and a separate Pulse button, with the cup able to leave the motor base after you remove the blade block and fit the travel lid. Choose it for a compact counter routine and easy cup cleanup. Pass if your essential job is cordless blending, a shared pitcher, hot soup, fizzy ingredients or a larger batch.
One cup, with a real fill limit
The current Warm Black CPB-7BK page lists one 24-ounce travel cup with silicone grip band, an airtight lid with a carry loop, a removable blade assembly and a compact base. The linked CPB-7 Series booklet gives that cup a 24-ounce MAX FILL line for liquid. That matters more than a generic cup label: recipes must stay at or below the marked line, and the nominal 24-ounce vessel is not an instruction to fill right to the lid. For combined ingredients, the booklet lists a 24-ounce maximum using two cups of solids and one cup of liquid, with the hardest items loaded first. Those are maker limits, not a promise that every combination will blend smoothly.
When the drink is ready, the instructions have you twist the cup off the base, remove the sharp blade assembly and attach the travel lid. The motor does not travel with the drink. Unlike a cordless system, however, the Soho needs a wall outlet for each blend. There is one included cup-and-blade setup, not a family pitcher or a set of cups for several servings.
Simple controls, no speed dial
The CPB-7BK keeps its controls to Blend/CANCEL and Pulse. A continuous Blend run stops when canceled or returns to standby after 60 seconds; Pulse is a separate press-and-release burst that can be repeated. This is not a numbered variable-speed dial, nor does the booklet identify automatic smoothie or ice programs. If you want to start a cycle and walk away, a true preset program may be a better match. If your small drink routine benefits from one simple timed maximum and short manual pulses, this profile is easier to understand.
The manual gives bounded uses rather than broad performance promises: a table allows six ice cubes for six to eight long pulses, and up to a quarter cup of shelled nuts for meal or flour after short pulses. That is useful guidance for limited batches, not an endorsement of every hard ingredient or a dedicated coffee-and-spice grinder. No measured texture, blend speed, sound level or motor wattage is established by the sources used here.
Cold-only use and practical cleaning
Cuisinart expressly prohibits hot liquids and carbonated beverages in this cup. The maker also says not to run it outdoors or under a wall cabinet, despite its compact footprint and listed 14.74-inch height; leave a suitable open operating location rather than assuming it will run under a shelf. If the motor stalls, the booklet says to unplug it, let it cool for at least 15 minutes, reduce the contents or clear the jam, then restart. It is a household-use appliance, not a continuous-duty or commercial unit.
The removable blade assembly means the cup, blade block, lid and other detachable parts can be washed separately; the booklet calls the parts top-rack dishwasher-safe and says to remove the silicone band for thorough cleaning. The motor base is different: wipe it with a damp cloth and never submerge or put it in the dishwasher. The band is described as insulating cold contents, but the cup is not presented as double-wall drinkware and no chill-retention time is stated.

Who should choose it?
For a corded personal drink, CPB-7BK trades the PBL-100's rechargeable base and 18-ounce cup for a larger 24-ounce cup, removable blade assembly, dishwasher-safe detachable parts and a manual six-cube ice guide. The PBL-100 is the more direct choice when you need battery operation; its cup is smaller and its blade stays fixed to the cup. Neither should be selected for hot mixtures or carbonated drinks. For a family-size pitcher, compare a countertop jar blender and its own safe-fill, heat and cleanup rules instead of treating several personal blends as one batch.
The current exact page is Warm Black CPB-7BK. Cuisinart's separate CPB-7TR Truffle page is labeled discontinued and out of stock. Its page lists the same cup, lid, controls, dimensions and three-year warranty, and it links the same CPB-7 Series booklet; it is a finish/lifecycle reference, not a current offer. Verify the stamped model before buying older stock. The current product page displays Add to Cart when checked, which is only a page-state observation, not a stock guarantee. The three-year limited household warranty is described for U.S. consumers buying from Cuisinart or an authorized reseller.

Choose around the way you blend.
Start with format and batch, then check manual controls, named programs, exact jar package, clearance and cleanup. In the Propel 510/750 family, a second jar is a separate setup—not extra capacity in one blend—and the Classic Bundle has a distinct hand-wash jar. In the nutribullet Ultra family, the standard NB50500IN has no processor, NB20550ID adds a separate two-cup processor, and only NB50550AKID includes the coffee/spice grinder. In nutribullet portable choices, the NBPB50100 keeps its base attached, Flex separates its base and blade, and Flip uses an insulated steel cup with a 16-ounce MAX line. Flex x McLaren’s exact page conflicts on 20 versus 22 ounces; that unknown should not meet a capacity requirement. The nutribullet Personal Blender NB50150-02 is the 700W refresh with a 21-ounce handled tumbler and a separate 24-ounce cup; use its 55-second plan and exact compatibility note rather than assuming old 600W parts fit. The current nutribullet Pro+ N12-1001MK pairs a separate 24-ounce and 32-ounce cup with a one-minute Blend cycle and manual Pulse; nominal cup labels do not replace the marked MAX line. The exact nutribullet Power Core XL Matte White NBF70100AW-02 lists a 72-ounce pitcher, 64-ounce maximum-liquid line and a maker-suggested minimum 16-ounce batch; its guide supports hot ingredients only in the vented pitcher and expressly says not to crush ice. The nutribullet Lite NBI50200 is a two-speed immersion set with a 30-ounce cup label but a 350 ml manual MAX mark; direct hot-pot blending does not specify a maximum pot or hot volume. The current McLaren Pro NB9-0901MC lists separate 32- and 24-ounce cups but showed out of stock; the discontinued Matte Eucalyptus SKU lists two separate 32-ounce cups. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender 50181FG/FJ, 50182FG/FJ and 50183F/FJ family has one 48-ounce BPA-free jar, while its directly linked guide names 50180 rather than those exact codes; check the supplied manual before planning a hot batch.
