Breville the 3X Bluicer BJB615 review

A manufacturer-remanufactured US offer of Breville’s blender-juicer combo: a 50-ounce blender jug, separate juicing setup and 3.5-inch feed chute on one base. It has five speeds and three food presets plus jug-only Auto Clean; Breville’s remanufactured policy lists a six-month warranty, while the current offer does not identify its finish or complete carton contents.

The original new Smoked Hickory BJB615 page is marked discontinued. Breville separately lists a manufacturer-remanufactured 3X Bluicer; that offer does not identify its shipped finish or full box contents, and its general remanufactured policy lists six months of warranty. Check the exact offer before purchase.

A useful fit for

A fit if you want a single motor base with separate 50-ounce blending and juicing setups, five speeds are enough, and a manufacturer-remanufactured offer with a six-month warranty suits your buying condition.

The main tradeoff

The remanufactured listing does not state its shipped finish or complete box contents, carries a shorter warranty than the new BJB815, lacks the Pro’s Green Smoothie preset and ten-speed dial, and still requires separate juicer cleanup. Neither Bluicer manual allows hot or boiling liquids.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Would a 50-ounce blender jug and separate juicing setup on one base meet your combo need without requiring a 64-ounce jar?

The BJB615 supports both blending and juicing on the same base, but as separate operating setups. Its 50-ounce jug clears a 48-ounce minimum and does not clear a 64-ounce requirement.

Do five speeds and the original 3X food-program menu suit you without requiring the Pro’s Green Smoothie preset?

The BJB615 documents five speeds, Smoothie, Pulse/Ice Crush and Frozen Cocktail, plus a separate Auto Clean function. It has no Green Smoothie one-touch preset in the exact manual.

Can you accept the manufacturer-remanufactured condition and its six-month warranty rather than a new-only offer?

The Breville Remanufactured Sales page lists the BJB615 family as remanufactured; the manufacturer’s general policy gives remanufactured products six months of warranty. The exact offer page does not state its finish or full carton inventory.

Can this Bluicer meet a hot-liquid blending requirement?

No. The BJB615 US manual prohibits hot or boiling liquids and directs users to cool ingredients before adding them.

Breville’s 3X Bluicer BJB615 combines a countertop blender and a juicer around one motor base, but the offer condition matters here. Breville’s regular US product page identifies the Smoked Hickory BJB615SHY1BUS1 and marks that new listing discontinued. A separate Breville Remanufactured Sales page currently lists a remanufactured 3X Bluicer and describes the BJB615 functions; Breville’s remanufactured-product policy says those products carry a six-month warranty. The reman offer page does not identify the shipped finish or give a full item-by-item package list, so do not assume the old new-unit SKU or its two-year warranty carries over.

One base, two different setups

The practical reason to choose a Bluicer is that it can blend in a 50-fluid-ounce jug and juice through a separate high-speed juicer assembly. Breville describes juice flowing into the blending jug, with a 3.5-inch feed chute, filter basket and pulp bin behind the base. Its manual gives separate assembly instructions for juicing and blending: the motor base is shared, but the blender jug and the juicer cover/filter setup are not the same operating arrangement. If you want a drink that uses both freshly extracted juice and blended ingredients, plan to collect juice in the jug and then change to the blender setup; do not treat the two assemblies as concurrent attachments.

The “Cold Spin” name also needs a precise reading. Breville describes a less-than-1.8°F temperature increase as an insignificant transfer compared with juicers using the same terminology. The maker expressly says this does not mean the unit chills juice. That is a temperature-rise claim, not refrigeration or an independent test result.

Five speeds and four buttons are not four food presets

The BJB615’s five manual speed settings are available for blending and juicing. The page lists four one-touch functions: Smoothie, Pulse/Ice Crush, Auto Clean and Frozen Cocktail. Three are food-oriented cycles; Auto Clean is the fourth named control. The instruction book says those programs operate only with the blender setup, not while the machine is assembled as a juicer. The 50-ounce jug and 3.5-inch chute make a useful dual-purpose format, but this model does not have the Pro’s separate Green Smoothie preset or ten-position speed dial.

Capacity is another place to be literal. Breville calls the blending jug 50 ounces and the pulp bin 3.2 quarts. The manual marks a maximum fill line, but the available product information does not give a separate recommended finished-blend volume. The nominal jug size is therefore not a promise that every recipe can be blended to the brim. If your essential requirement is a 64-ounce full-size blender jar, neither the BJB615 nor its larger-control Pro sibling meets it.

Juicing adds real cleanup and handling steps

The manual’s juicer workflow includes the filter bowl surround, sharp stainless-steel filter basket, cover, locking arm, pusher and pulp bin. It warns against touching the filter’s small cutting blades, running without the pulp bin or unlocking the arm while the motor is operating. The 3.5-inch chute can reduce pre-cutting for many apples, carrots and cucumbers, but Breville still instructs users to wash and trim produce as appropriate, remove citrus rind, and limit carrots to 6.5 pounds per run. A wider chute does not mean every piece of produce can be pushed through safely without preparation.

Auto Clean is narrower than its name sounds. Breville’s instructions use warm soapy water to clean the blender jug and blades; the manual explicitly says that function does not clean the juicer. The filter basket and juice-contact parts still need to be taken apart and rinsed, with the supplied brush used on the mesh. This distinction can determine whether a combined machine is worth keeping on the counter: it consolidates appliances, but it does not eliminate the juicer’s extra cleanup.

Heat, space and the remanufactured offer

The BJB615 manual says not to process hot or boiling liquids and to let them cool before putting them in the jug. It also says not to run the blender empty and tells users to unplug and wait thirty minutes if overload protection activates. Breville lists the original US unit at 15.6 by 9.3 by 17.7 inches, 15.12 pounds and 1,000 watts, with an ABS housing and stainless-steel blades. These are manufacturer specifications, not evidence of blending speed, noise or texture.

For the currently listed remanufactured offer, Breville’s policy says each remanufactured product is inspected, cleaned and tested, may show cosmetic marks, and includes a six-month warranty. That is useful information but not a condition report on a particular returned unit. The separate offer page does not state its exact finish, SKU, carton contents or whether every accessory pictured is included. Before purchasing, compare the seller’s exact offer and included parts against the manual’s required juicer components. Do not substitute the original new BJB615 page’s two-year limited warranty for the remanufactured warranty.

Who should choose it?

This is the better fit if you genuinely want both juice extraction and 50-ounce blending on one appliance, five speed settings are enough, and you are comfortable with the current manufacturer-remanufactured condition and shorter warranty. It is not the right shortcut if you need a 64-ounce jar, hot-liquid blending, a Green Smoothie one-touch cycle or a juicer that cleans itself. The 3X Bluicer Pro BJB815 supplies ten speeds, a Green Smoothie preset and a two-year limited warranty on its listed new offer, while keeping the 50-ounce jug and 3.5-inch chute. If juicing is only occasional, compare a conventional blender that fits your batch size instead of paying counter space and cleanup attention to a function you may not use. This assessment describes the manufacturer’s model pages, manual and remanufactured offer; it does not claim hands-on ownership or recipe testing.

Choose around the way you blend.

Start with format and batch, then check manual controls, named programs, exact jar package, clearance and cleanup. In the Propel 510/750 family, a second jar is a separate setup—not extra capacity in one blend—and the Classic Bundle has a distinct hand-wash jar. In the nutribullet Ultra family, the standard NB50500IN has no processor, NB20550ID adds a separate two-cup processor, and only NB50550AKID includes the coffee/spice grinder. In nutribullet portable choices, the NBPB50100 keeps its base attached, Flex separates its base and blade, and Flip uses an insulated steel cup with a 16-ounce MAX line. Flex x McLaren’s exact page conflicts on 20 versus 22 ounces; that unknown should not meet a capacity requirement. The nutribullet Personal Blender NB50150-02 is the 700W refresh with a 21-ounce handled tumbler and a separate 24-ounce cup; use its 55-second plan and exact compatibility note rather than assuming old 600W parts fit. The current nutribullet Pro+ N12-1001MK pairs a separate 24-ounce and 32-ounce cup with a one-minute Blend cycle and manual Pulse; nominal cup labels do not replace the marked MAX line. The exact nutribullet Power Core XL Matte White NBF70100AW-02 lists a 72-ounce pitcher, 64-ounce maximum-liquid line and a maker-suggested minimum 16-ounce batch; its guide supports hot ingredients only in the vented pitcher and expressly says not to crush ice. The nutribullet Lite NBI50200 is a two-speed immersion set with a 30-ounce cup label but a 350 ml manual MAX mark; direct hot-pot blending does not specify a maximum pot or hot volume. The current McLaren Pro NB9-0901MC lists separate 32- and 24-ounce cups but showed out of stock; the discontinued Matte Eucalyptus SKU lists two separate 32-ounce cups. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. Oster MyBlend Plus SAP 2126144 is one cold-only sport-bottle setup; Easy-to-Clean SAP 2181510 keeps its glass pitcher and separate 20-ounce cup in different plans, and unknown cup instructions stay unknown. The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender 50181FG/FJ, 50182FG/FJ and 50183F/FJ family has one 48-ounce BPA-free jar, while its directly linked guide names 50180 rather than those exact codes; check the supplied manual before planning a hot batch.
